What is a body visualizer?
A body visualizer turns measurements into a picture. Instead of reading that someone is 175 cm and 75 kg, you see a figure drawn to those values, which makes differences in height and proportion much easier to judge.
This body simulator draws a simple, flat illustration. Height sets the overall scale, weight and body type set the baseline proportions, and the adjustment sliders change individual regions. It is a visual aid, not a scan, a photograph or a prediction of how any particular person looks.
How to use it
- Choose the male or female body model.
- Enter your height in centimetres or feet and inches, and your weight in kilograms or pounds.
- Pick a body type: slim, average, athletic or broad.
- Switch between the front and side view.
- Open the adjustments to fine-tune shoulders, waist, hips and muscle mass, and reset them at any time.
- Select Share to copy a link, or Download to save the illustration with your measurements.
The figure updates as you change values, so you can compare options immediately.
Male and female body models
The male and female body visualizer models use different baseline proportions: shoulder-to-hip ratio, waist position and torso shape all differ. Both models can be viewed from the front and the side, and both respond to the same controls, so you can compare the same measurements across models.
Body types explained
Body type sets the starting proportions before your own adjustments are applied:
- Slim
- Narrower shoulders, waist and hips, with lighter limbs.
- Average
- The baseline proportions every other body type adjusts from.
- Athletic
- Wider shoulders and chest with a narrower waist.
- Broad
- A fuller torso, wider waist and hips, and heavier limbs.
Height, weight and BMI
Heights and weights are stored in centimetres and kilograms and converted for display, so switching between cm and ft/in or kg and lb never changes the underlying values. BMI is calculated from those canonical values as weight in kilograms divided by height in metres squared.
HeightViz shows BMI as a number only. It does not classify it, judge it or offer health advice, and it does not estimate body fat: that cannot be derived responsibly from height and weight alone. For anything health related, talk to a healthcare professional.
What this tool cannot do
The visualization is illustrative and not a medical assessment. Two people with identical height and weight can look very different, because bone structure, muscle, fat distribution and posture all vary. Treat the figure as a rough sketch for comparison, not as a measurement of your body.
If you are comparing your height with someone else's, the height comparison tool draws several people side by side on one scale.
Frequently asked questions
What does the body visualizer show?
It draws an illustrative figure that responds to the height, weight, body type and adjustments you choose. It is a simple visual model, not a photograph or a prediction of how a particular person looks.
Is there a male and a female body simulator?
Yes. The Gender control switches between a male and a female body model, and each model can be viewed from the front or the side.
How accurate is the body shape?
Height is drawn to scale, so a taller figure is proportionally taller. Width responds to weight, body type and the adjustment sliders within deliberately conservative limits. Real bodies vary far more than any simple model can capture.
How is BMI calculated here?
BMI is weight in kilograms divided by height in metres squared, using the values you entered. HeightViz shows the number only and does not interpret, classify or diagnose it. Speak to a healthcare professional about anything health related.
Can I use feet, inches and pounds?
Yes. Height can be entered in centimetres or feet and inches, and weight in kilograms or pounds. Values are stored in metric and converted for display, so switching units never changes the body.
Does HeightViz store my measurements?
No. Your measurements are not saved to an account or a database. A shared link contains the values in the link itself, so only share it with people you are comfortable seeing them.
